Media Meditation # 1, the Amazing Experience that is Halo: Reach

If you are an avid Halo fan like I am, then you probably went to your local game retailer at midnight on the 14th to pick up your copy of Bungie Studio's newest creation, Halo: Reach.

Its finally here! Photo from Bungie.net

Halo: Reach takes place chronologically before the first game, Halo: Combat Evolved, which in my opinion was the best game in the series until this one. I think Bungie knew most Halo fans loved their first game the most too, so they gave Reach a very nostalgic feel to it. I almost feel like Bungie took Halo: Combat Evolved and just gave it a massive overhaul, effectively making their greatest game even better.

If that video doesn't make you want to know what Reach is all about, then I truly feel sorry for you.

Halo: Reach is a very personal experience, you create your character before you play the game and that character is actually rendered when you play the campaign, giving the game a ton of individual meaning.

The multiplayer is back too. Halo has always had one of the best multiplayer experiences any game has to offer, and they did not disappoint this time around either.

I have no idea who the player in this video is, but I wish I were that good.

I hope you enjoyed this snapshot of the beauty that is Halo: Reach. For more info check out Bungie's Reach project page at Bungie.net.

  1. A good blog throw down on Halo: Reach, Carl!

Give us more in the way of DEETS for the game, for those of us who are ignorant. Fine use of embeds - bravo!

    A good first blog foray,
